Post by bert simons »

Hi.. I will try to give a live streaming of my big (2.5 m) rocket launch tomorrow..
build it in 2005 but never finished it.. untill this week I suddenly got the shakes to launch it

live feed tomorrow at aprox 15:00 gmt +2 http://bertsimons.nl/portfolio/livecam
some pics from the rocket http://bertsimons.nl/portfolio/rockets/ ... cale_model

it will probably be a full failure.. but maybe.. not.. :-)

Welcome to the world's largest forum dedicated to water rocketry! :W

A live webcast of your launch sounds really interesting PH:

I am a little confused about the time though.

Is GMT 15.00 +2 your time zone? SC: or are you launching 2 hours after 15.00 GMT? SC:

Hi thanks for the welcome!

unfortunatly the live feed was not a big succes..the 3G connection was very bad at the remote launch site and only a few images got uploaded.. but I just placed some images taken at the launch site online and I will put the movie on soon! pics here: http://www.bertsimons.nl/portfolio/inde ... um=livecam

Nice job,

Too bad the internet connection wasn't as good as you thought. We all look forward to seeing your video. The nice thing about this forum is that you can embed a youtube video directly in the post by surrounding it with tags.

Bert,

I also meant to ask you what your plans were going to be for that water rocket Jet-pack you have on your site. What's the story with that?

Congratulations on your successful launch! Too bad the second parachute did not function properly. But any landing the rocket survives is a good landing! :D
It must be quite a good feeling to complete successfully such a long waiting project.
Your website is really well put together and the photos really show off the skill you put into your work.
Hopefully, you will have many more successful launches with this rocket!

Best of luck to you!

Too bad about the live feed, but your Avatar is awesome! That really shows the scale of your rocket!
