i tough of these types of fins, they are made from a long strip of cardboard or plastic and are bent in three equal sections to make a triangle once folded corretly. the advantage would be easy assembly, easy glueing and would act like 6 normal flat fins, if anyone wants to try it, feel free :D

hi everybody! great news, a few friends and i have entered the f1 in schools competition, which consistes in making a balsa dragster, a CO2 engine will be added, all the engines will be the same on each car so the only way to win is to create the perfect airflow, downforce and so on. This is a great opportunity to put my water rocket car skills to the test.
And by the way the newly registered guy that posted right above is a guy from my team  ill post pictures or plans of the car as we progress

you could attach a bottle of water behind the CO2 fire extingisher so the CO2 pushes on the water. 8)

I have been preparing some instructions for making easy fins for 500 ml rockets. Here is a template. Print it directly to card, or to paper and then glue to suitable card.

Some pictures of completed fins here: http://groups.google.co.uk/group/rocket ... 0ml-rocket. More detailed instructions to follow as time allows.
