Ski/Sled Dragster Records
Just curious if the ski/sled vehicles can register for any records?

I don't see why not. Same rules, but the record will be called "water rocket Sled". Boats would apply too if someone was interested.bugwubber wrote:Just curious if the ski/sled vehicles can register for any records?
The records would be separate for each sub-class.
1. Water rocket dragster for wheeled vehicles
2. Water rocket sled for ski/sled vehicles.
3. Water rocket jet boat for boats.

What would the competition be for a jet boat. How would distance over water be measured.

Probably by anchoring markers at specified distances (another use for soda bottles). Spray paint them fluorescent orange and anchor them in the water)Water Rocket Expert wrote:What would the competition be for a jet boat. How would distance over water be measured.

Great! The Snow Miser is almost complete. I'm going to get creative with the safety cage- the top will be my utility trailer ramp (expanded steel, not welded wire) and the sides are going to be snow berms or plywood. Does that sound like that would be acceptable?WRA2 wrote:I don't see why not. Same rules, but the record will be called "water rocket Sled". Are you seriously going to get the record? Huh. It's awesome if you do, but remember, just because you got the record, does not mean it was that impressive, it just means that no one else has entered. I'm sure that anyone though, wants a chance at the avatar!

Re: Ski/Sled Dragster Records
Asupremeflight has an unofficial standing claim of 843 feet for distance. Don't believe he measured for speed to 150ft. So, anything I submit will have to perform better than that for me to consider it record worthy. So yes, I am competing against someone else's record in a way.Water Rocket Expert wrote:Are you seriously going to get the record? Huh. You are saying his bobsled went 843 feet? That's crazy far. How did he possibly find a stretch of snow that long. I would recommend you do yours on a frozen lake.
