PETE and PET

Post by RaZias »

What is the difference between PET and PETE ?
In terms of glues and pressure ?

Every glue says it doesn't go with polyetirene estired (is that PETE) ?

I saw smooth 2 liters bottles with the same shape as coca-cola, with a none gasous juice.
They where made of PETE.
I also saw PETE tubes containing tennis balls.

Yes, still drink bottles are also made of PET/PETE but they will not hold the same high pressure as the PET used for carbonated/fizzy drinks.

Does anyone know what PETG is too? I see that plastic listed on things as well. What's the difference?
