Ages of the water-rocketeers

Post by RaZias »

I wanted to know the age of the people that make water-rockets.
Are they grown up or teenagers ?...So I made this poll.

At least I will know better this community.

So people aged 35-40 are not allowed to launch water rockets?

I was going to fix the poll for you but if I do that it said the votes will be reset, so I left it alone. I'm going to check and see if there is a way to modify a poll without resetting it.

Sorry I couldn't fix it quickly.

I think there is 2 options:

1 - you reset it, fix it and you do what mark chen said, so you will make the votes compulsory for the people.

2 - you reset it, you fix it and you make the votes for the others before so it remains unchanged.

I'm surprised there are not many younger rocketeers out there. I was doing this when I was very young. I wonder why so few are doing this now. Is it too many videogames?

I think that most of the "over 40" crowd doing water rockets get involved when their children are young and have to do it for a "school project" then the kids move on o video games, text messaging and myspace pages while the adults continue building rockets. Hopefully they remember how much fun this is when they "grow up" and have children of their own.

I went to water-rockets because I was sick of video-games...I needed fresh air.

But I tried to start with 9 years old, I saw the first one in a book but I didn´t knew how to make the things or even where to buy the material.

So I don´t think that "video-game killed the water-rocket star" (remember the video killed the radio-star song), I just think it´s somehow complex for a kid, a video-game is just insert the CD and push start...

they probably get sucked into pyrotechnic rockets where you just go and buy a motor, put it into a tube and launch it. less effort, better performance. :|
